Additive Manufacturing (AM – more popularly known as 3D Printing) fabricates a 3D structure with complex geometries directly from a file defined by computer–aided design. The Keck Center focuses on research to enhance these technologies to include the ability to print multi-functional structures – with electronics, sensors, antennas, fluidics, and thermal management to name just a few. Fundamental and applied research is required specifically in AM processes, materials and applications.

Directions from West El Paso:
  • From I-10 East, take Exit 18A Schuster Ave.
  • Turn left at W. Schuster Ave.
  • Turn left at Sun Bowl Dr.
  • Continue on Sun Bowl Dr. to the stop sign, which is University Ave. Turn right onto University Ave.
  • You will see the guard booth ahead of you. As a visitor, you will need a temporary parking permit. Follow the signs to stop at the guard booth, and the guard will give you a parking permit.
  • Continue on University Ave. to the second stop sign, which is Hawthorne St. Turn right onto Hawthorne St.
  • The Engineering Building is the last building on the right before the automatic entry/exit gates at the end of Hawthorne St. Visitor parking is available along both sides of Hawthorne St.
Directions from East El Paso:
  • From I-10 West, take Exit 19A Mesa St.
  • The exit will briefly put you on E. Yandell St. Continue west on E. Yandell St. for about a tenth of a mile to N. Mesa St. Turn right onto N. Mesa St.
  • Continue on N. Mesa St. for about 1 mile to University Ave. Turn left onto University Ave.
  • You will see the campus and the guard booth ahead of you. As a visitor, you will need a temporary parking permit. Follow the signs to stop at the guard booth, and the guard will give you a parking permit.
  • Continue on University Ave. to Hawthorne St. Turn left onto Hawthorne St.
  • The Engineering Building is the last building on the right before the automatic entry/exit gates at the end of Hawthorne St. Visitor parking is available along both sides of Hawthorne St.
